Tabico (Calico With Tabby Stripes)
A beautiful calico with tabby stripes, Ophelia had been living outdoors, in the city, where several families had been feeding her... but no one "owned" her. She relied on these families for food and shelter, so when one of them moved away, she was left with less options. And winter had arrived. Being quite a big girl, we weren't sure whether she might be pregnant, so when she was convinced to come indoors by a conceed resident in the area, we took her in to make sure she wouldn't be left out in the cold. We are sure now that she is not eating for more-than-one (she just really likes food!) She has her spay surgery scheduled and we are hoping that once she's recovered, we will have found her a family that she can truly call her own! She is obviously a clever girl, having lived outdoors in a busy downtown area for quite some time. She's now adjusted wonderfully to indoor life, taking full advantage of lying on warm rugs, enjoying the delights of catnip toys, and loving the attention she gets from people! Ophelia would be wonderful companion, being one that wants to be around you and actively seeks out conversation and petting. We estimate she is about 2-3 years old; old enough to know a good thing when she's got it... and she isn't one to want to share, so would prefer to be the only cat in a home. The true queen of her castle!
