Our Mission
The Forgotten Ferals primary focus is to help feral, abandoned, and homeless cats by providing TNVR (trap, neuter/spay, vaccinate, return/rehome) services in Kingston Ontario and surrounding areas within Frontenac, Lennox & Addington, Leeds & Grenville, & Lanark Counties.
Our team of dedicated volunteers ensure that every cat receives necessary veterinary care, and assesses each one to determine whether they are true ferals for whom it is in their best interest to be returned to their established territory under the care of a colony caretaker, or taken into our fostering program for socialization and to match them with a forever indoor home.
All of the cats & kittens in our foster/adoption program are cared for in foster homes within our local communities, right here in the areas we serve. Our foster families and individuals put so much love and care into caring for these deserving cats & kittens, getting to know their personalities and helping them learn to trust. We also work co-operatively with other local rescues, to assist whenever possible in cases where it takes a village to save lives and help end suffering.
Our funding is provided entirely by private donations and fundraising efforts. We receive no government funding or grants, and are so grateful for each and every donation we receive. If you would like to help, we accept E-transfer to [email protected], cash, and gift card Donations, or see our Wish List to see what specific items you can give to help the cats & kittens in our care!
